一、soccer：
“soccer”一词逐渐出现在英国俚语中是19世纪80年代。这个单词源于“association football” ，是人们把“soc”提取出来单独创造的一个新单词。
1913年，美国足协宣告成立，那时候他们管自己叫做“美国Foot Ball协会”，1945年他们改名为“美国Soccer Foot Ball协会”。1974年，该协会终于把“football”从名字里去掉，改名为“美国soccer协会”。
二、football：
